What's the Difference Between Soy Wax Candles?

Sadly, most soy candles on the market today are filled with harmful chemicals. Not all soy candles are made the same and it's important to select a candle that won't fill your home with toxins. 

For example, we use a high quality Non-GMO Organic soy wax in all of our candles. Most soy candles on the market are filled with artificial fillers and synthetics that don't make them truly clean burning or all natural soy. We use the finest ingredients in our products because quality, earth friendly and toxin free ingredients are important to us. It's the whole reason we launched our business! We use American grown and locally sourced soy wax. 

You will notice the difference in our candles right away. Most candles have a strong, almost overwhelming synthetic scent. The Charming Co. candles are all hand poured and hand scented with high quality non synthetic scents so you get a wonderful aroma to fill the room but not overpower it! 

Do candles give you headaches?

In many cases people who complain candles give them headaches are in fact suffering from inhaling toxin filled candles. Paraffin wax, which is petroleum based is a source of this. Phthalates, which are found in most candles today and still legal in the USA are also big contributors to headaches. Phthalates are small plastics that are released into the air when a candle is burned and most often found in low quality synthetic scents. It's basically a cheap filler that is so harmful many countries, including Europe in 2005, have banned the use of phthalates in products sold.  

Our candles are phthalate free! Paraffin free and lead free! 

Our candles are truly clean burning, without the junk found in most candles. We use high quality scents in our candles, many candles are scented with essential oils, fragrance oils and all of our candles are phthalate free and free of harsh chemicals. We hand scent them to fill a room but not chase you out of a room and we believe this sets us apart from the rest. Our candles give a gentle aroma, not the strong synthetic smell that candles often are known for. 

We use 100% cotton wicks that are lead free and all hand placed by our family as we pour each and every candle. The candles will burn approximately 50+ hours. Please make sure to allow the candle to burn to the edges, often referred to as pooling, before blowing it out each time and your candle will burn evenly and not tunnel.
